My family went to Calvert Cliffs today with Sandy's family, Sandy's sister's friend, and Yubing. At one point, everyone but Yubing went up to the top of the cliffs for the view, but Yubee stayed down on the beach. She doesn't know I took this picture, and I didn't think much of it at the time, but now that I've got it on my computer, I'm quite pleased with it. Shades of her purple coat appear subtly in the environment, and the point of view and scale of the piece really convey a sense of isolation. I could go farther and discuss the murkiness of the water or the barren treescape... but I'll leave that up to you, I think, as I've just been rejected from Cornell.

(I recommend a full view because it's much more effective when you can actually see her position. Seriously.)
